Coriander is everything

Coriander Seed (Coriandrum sativum) is a flowering plant that belongs to the carrot family or Apiaceae. It has an aromatic and flavor-enhancing scent, and its seeds are used to make coriander spice. The coriander plant is native to tropical regions of Southeastern Europe, India and Southeast Asia, but it can also be found growing wild in other parts of the world. Coriander is derived from the Greek word korinthos, which means "marsh plant." 

1. The coriander plant has been used for thousands of years as a culinary herb. Ancient Egyptians made wine from coriander seeds, which are also used in foods such as Indian curry dishes. The spice was introduced to Europe during the Middle Ages by Arab traders who brought it back from their travels throughout Asia and Africa.

Coriander seeds have a slightly bitter taste with a warm aroma that can either be enjoyed on their own or mixed with other ingredients such as lemon juice or black pepper for added flavor intensity.

In ancient times it was used in religious ceremonies because of its sweet smell and spicy taste. 2. During Roman times it was considered a sacred herb. It has been used to treat digestive problems and respiratory issues such as colds and bronchitis. 

3. In modern times, it is used to relieve stress and anxiety as well as insomnia. It contains Linalool which has anti-inflammatory properties, and allow it to treat pain and other symptoms associated with inflammation in the body. It has antibacterial properties, which help prevent infection from occurring in wounds or cuts. It has anti-fungal properties, which help prevent fungal infections from occurring on your skin or in your mouth. 

In addition to all of these wonderful properties found in Coriander seed, it smells absolutely divine with a sweet, herbaceous, spicy, woody and slightly fruity aroma.
